May Crowning

May Crowning will occur on Sunday, May 9th.  We will celebrate the May Crowning in lieu of a homily.  “May is Mary’s month!  And during May, throughout the Catholic World, special devotions honor the Virgin Mary.  ‘May Crowning’ is a traditional Catholic ritual that occurs in the month of May and it recognizes Mary as Queen of heaven and earth.  Since medieval times, there has been a correlation between Mary and the month of May.  May is considered the season of the beginning of new life.  ‘May Crowning’ marks a new spiritual season.  Our Mary, Queen of heaven and earth, lifted us right out of the last long, cold days of winter and firmly planted our hearts in the warm and promising soil of spring.” – Shrine to the Lady of Good Help

First Saturdays Devotion

Fr. Sean will be celebrating Mass on the first Saturday morning of each month at 8:00 a.m. The First Saturdays Devotion, also called the Act of Reparation to the Immaculate Heart of the Blessed Virgin Mary, is a devotion which, according to Sister Lúcia of Fátima, was requested by the Virgin Mary in the apparition at Pontevedra, Spain, in December 1925. Please put on your calendar!

Change to Tuesday’s

Mass time:

Beginning 04-27-2021, Tuesday’s Mass will be celebrated at 5:30 p.m. rather than 8:00 a.m. Fr. Sean will be hearing confessions after Mass each Tuesday as well.

Eucharistic Adoration

Eucharistic Adoration is the adoration of Jesus Christ present in the Holy Eucharist.  In the many churches that have this adoration, the Eucharist is displayed in a special holder called a monstrance, and people come to pray and worship Jesus continually throughout the day and often the night.  Christ’s great love for us was shown when He was crucified on the cross to pay the penalty for our sins and give us eternal life.  He loves us without limit and offers Himself to us in the Holy Sacrament of the Eucharist.  Can we not give Jesus a few minutes of love and adoration in return?

Eucharistic Adoration takes place every Thursday at St. Patrick parish immediately following 8 AM Mass until 6 PM.  All are welcome!
